WWE maintains Crown Jewel plans in Riyadh despite internal concerns
WWE is reportedly maintaining its plans to host the Crown Jewel premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7, despite regional geopolitical tensions and internal concerns. While the company continues to promote the event, reports suggest that some non-wrestling staff members have expressed apprehension regarding travel to the region due to security risks.
Internal reports indicate that WWE has formulated a contingency plan that includes a backup venue in the United States should the situation in the Middle East become too volatile to proceed in Riyadh. However, sources suggest the company is keeping this plan private to maintain a ‘united front’ and avoid appearing to waver in its commitment to Saudi Arabian partners.
The event is currently scheduled to feature high-profile championship matches, including Roman Reigns versus Sami Zayn for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship and Liv Morgan versus Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
