WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross Scheduled for Brain Surgery

WWE Hall of Famer and AEW broadcaster Jim Ross announced that he will undergo a brain shunt operation within the next week. The surgery is intended to drain excess cerebrospinal fluid that has been causing memory problems after a fainting episode led to a 40‑day hospital stay. Ross said he is “cutting back on appearances” and will be in the hospital for a few days, hoping “nothing will go wrong.” He described the procedure as serious, noting that a cardiologist had to approve it before the surgeon could proceed. Ross plans to return home to recover after a short stay and has a major AEW event in Minneapolis scheduled for a few weeks later.

The planned operation reflects ongoing health setbacks for the longtime wrestling commentator, who was hospitalized last month for an undisclosed issue. He expressed confidence in his medical team and intends to resume his duties once he has healed.
