WWE plans Crown Jewel 2026 in Saudi Arabia and tag team division refresh

WWE is reportedly planning to hold its Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia this November. The event is expected to follow a champion-versus-champion format, where the company’s top men’s and women’s champions compete for the Crown Jewel Championship belts.

If the event proceeds as planned, it would mark WWE’s third premium live event in Saudi Arabia for 2026, following the Royal Rumble in January and Night of Champions in June. This follows a period of uncertainty regarding the promotion's presence in the Middle East, though recent reports suggest the situation has become manageable.

In addition to the Crown Jewel plans, WWE is reportedly working on a refresh of its tag team divisions across both the RAW and SmackDown brands. Potential developments include Shinsuke Nakamura potentially pairing with Hiromu Takahashi on SmackDown, and the possible establishment of a new team featuring Ethan Page and Rusev on RAW.
