WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship changes hands on SmackDown

Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley have become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions following a match on the October 9 episode of SmackDown. The duo defeated the champions, Fatal Influence (Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley), to secure the titles.

Bliss entered the match as a replacement for Charlotte Flair, who was unable to compete after suffering a backstage attack by Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin. The victory marks the first main roster championship for Paxley and the fifth Women’s Tag Team Championship reign for Bliss.

This title change follows Paxley’s recent main roster debut in August, where she has been aligned with Bliss and Flair. The outcome has led to speculation regarding the future direction of Charlotte Flair’s character.
