WWE plans for Riyadh events continue amid regional security concerns

WWE is proceeding with plans for its Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for November 7, despite heightened regional security concerns. The company is also preparing for WrestleMania 43, which was previously announced to take place in Riyadh, though official dates have not yet been released.

Recent geopolitical tensions have increased the risk profile for these events. Reports indicate that air defenses in Saudi Arabia intercepted ballistic missiles and drones, including an attempt targeting the capital. Additionally, the U.S. Department of State has issued travel advisories urging citizens to reconsider trips to Saudi Arabia due to potential Iranian-backed missile activity, terrorism, and armed conflict.

Industry figures, including Hall of Famers Jeff Jarrett and Eric Bischoff, have suggested that WWE likely maintains contingency plans for its major events. Given the commercial importance of WrestleMania, experts believe the organization would have a ‘Plan B’ to mitigate risks associated with regional instability.
