WWF to host Urban Nature festival in over 100 Italian squares

The WWF is organizing the tenth edition of its ‘Urban Nature’ festival on October 3 and 4, 2026. The initiative will feature informative stands in over 100 Italian squares to promote the importance of urban green spaces for health, well-being, and biodiversity.

As part of the event, the WWF is promoting its ‘Spazi Natura’ Fund to support the creation of new natural areas in urban environments. To encourage donations, the organization is running a campaign involving the distribution of WWF honey, which directly supports the fund.

Additionally, the LIFE PolliNetwork project will participate in the festival to highlight the connection between urban and rural habitats for pollinators. The project aims to support the experimental restoration of 88 hectares of habitat across 10 Italian regions by the end of 2030, focusing on bees, butterflies, and hoverflies to ensure ecological continuity between cities and the countryside.
