Wyndham Rewards launches 4x points promotion amid redemption changes

Wyndham Rewards has launched a new promotion running from September 24, 2026, through January 19, 2027. The offer allows members to earn 4x base points on eligible stays, with bonus caps varying by membership status. Standard members can earn up to 15,000 bonus points, while Wyndham Rewards Insiders and certain credit cardholders can reach caps of 20,000 to 25,000 points.

To qualify, members must register by January 15, 2027, and book a qualified stay through a direct booking channel. The promotion is not valid at Super 8 by Wyndham hotels in Mainland China.

This promotional period follows recent changes to the Wyndham Rewards redemption structure. The program recently introduced a new premium tier where top-tier properties now require up to 45,000 points per night, a 50% increase from the previous 30,000-point rate. While lower-tier redemption costs were reduced from 7,500 to 5,000 points, the shift in premium pricing has prompted discussions regarding the program's value proposition compared to competitors like Marriott Bonvoy.
