Wyoming opens early voting for 2026 primary election

Early voting for Wyoming’s Aug. 18, 2026 primary began today at clerk‑office locations in Teton County and Natrona County. Voters can cast ballots at the Teton County Administration Building in Jackson and at the Natrona County Clerk’s Office in Casper, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until the day before the primary. Acceptable identification includes a Wyoming driver’s license or ID card, tribal ID, U.S. passport or military ID, a valid concealed‑firearm permit, out‑of‑state driver’s license, student or school IDs, and Medicare or Medicaid cards.

The voting window was reduced by a 2024 law from 45 days to 28 days, with registration closing on Aug. 3 but same‑day registration still allowed on Election Day. Photo ID is required, and free voter‑ID cards are available through the Wyoming Department of Transportation. State law prohibits electioneering within 100 feet of early‑voting sites (100 yards on Election Day); violations are misdemeanors punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
