Wyoming Starts Early and Absentee Voting for 2026 Primary

Early voting and absentee‑ballot requests have opened for Wyoming’s primary elections, which will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Voters can appear in person at their county clerk’s office to cast an in‑person ballot that is placed in an envelope for later counting, or they can apply for an absentee ballot and return it by mail using the provided envelope and regular postage. Mail delivery within a county may take up to seven days, and longer if mailed from outside the county. To request an absentee ballot, a voter must supply personal information, indicate the political party ballot they wish to vote for (and be a registered member of that party), and affirm eligibility. The primary will decide the slate of candidates for Wyoming’s congressional, state and gubernatorial contests.
