X partners with major exchanges to enable trading via Cashtags

X has expanded its U.S. Cashtag Partner Program, allowing users to transition directly from financial discussions on the platform to trading services. By utilizing “Cashtags”—ticker symbols for stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies—users can now access a “Trade” button that redirects them to participating external exchanges and brokerages.

The initial group of U.S. partners includes Coinbase, Gemini, and Kraken for cryptocurrency trading, as well as Interactive Brokers and Moomoo for traditional financial products. X does not execute trades or hold customer assets; instead, it acts as a bridge to these third-party platforms, which manage account requirements and order execution.

In addition to the financial integration, X also unveiled Grok 4.7, an AI model described as being optimized for coding and knowledge work with increased speed and reduced costs compared to its predecessor.
