Veracruz authorities conduct 59 searches and arrest 38 people

The Veracruz State Attorney General's Office (FGE) conducted 59 judicial searches across 39 municipalities between August 24 and August 30. These operations, carried out in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense (DEFENSA), the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), the National Guard, and state and municipal security forces, resulted in the flagrant arrest of 38 individuals suspected of involvement in illicit activities.

The searches spanned the northern, central, and southern zones of Veracruz, targeting various municipalities including Xalapa, Veracruz, and Tuxpan. Authorities seized a variety of evidence to support ongoing investigations, including firearms of different calibers, white weapons, ammunition, illicit substances, mobile phones, vehicles, motorcycles, and technological evidence related to the distribution of narcotics. The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to determine their legal status.
