Xbox announces new Game Pass titles and Halo Studios outsourcing reports

Xbox has announced its upcoming Game Pass lineup, featuring several notable titles. Upcoming additions include Blood Dungeon, a platform shooter from Messhof, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a prequel spinoff developed by Asobo Studio set on the Island of the Minotaur. Additionally, Vapor World: Over The Mind is entering early access for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users.

In separate industry news, reports indicate that Halo Studios is heavily utilizing external development to manage production timelines. According to insider information, the development of Halo Campaign Evolved involved collaboration with up to 15 different studios, including Virtuos, Ninja Theory, and Rare. This strategy, reportedly supported by Halo Studios head Pierre Hintze, aims to shorten development cycles by outsourcing significant portions of production, such as full artistic assets.
