Xbox Game Pass adds three new games as concerns grow over its future
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service added three titles this week: the remastered Halo Campaign Evolved, the dark‑fantasy action RPG Mistfall Hunter, and the pirate‑empire builder Corsair Cove. All three are available at no extra charge to subscribers on consoles, PC, cloud, mobile devices and compatible Smart TVs.
At the same time, industry analysts note several warning signs that the service may be nearing a turning point. Critics point to the recent cessation of ID@Xbox support for developers in Latin America, which could block dozens of regional studios from bringing games to the platform. Other concerns include the lack of a timeline for returning classic franchises and uncertainty about the subscription model’s long‑term sustainability under Microsoft’s new leadership. These issues could affect both the catalog’s growth and the broader gaming market.
