XCMG launches first overseas new energy factory in Indonesia

XCMG Group held an inauguration ceremony on July 27 at the Weda Bay Industrial Park in North Maluku Province, Indonesia, to launch its Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base. The plant began producing its first batch of electric construction machinery, which was delivered to strategic partner Tsingshan Holding Group's IWIP facility.

The new base combines complete equipment manufacturing, localized research and development, and on‑site services, aiming to shorten delivery times for electric machinery used in mining, infrastructure and industrial‑park logistics. It supports Indonesia’s low‑carbon transition, adds a used‑equipment circulation and parts‑remanufacturing system, and completes XCMG’s integrated R&D‑production‑sales‑service chain in the country after more than 30 years of operations and a nationwide service network.
