Artificial intelligence is expected to be a primary topic of the meeting, as Trump has previously noted the importance of the global AI competition. Other anticipated discussion points include trade, tariffs, advanced semiconductor export restrictions, rare earth supplies, fentanyl, and geopolitical tensions regarding Taiwan, the South China Sea, and the conflict in Iran. The White House has confirmed the September 24 meeting but has declined to comment on other aspects of the visit.
