Xiaomi and Apple see market gains in EV and smartphone sectors
Xiaomi's stock rose 9.5 percent to 2.95 euros following significant progress in its transition from a smartphone manufacturer to an automotive company. The company reported that electric vehicle deliveries exceeded 40,000 units in September, including over 10,000 units from the SkyNomad series. The SkyNomad models alone recorded more than 70,000 binding orders during their first month of sales.
In the European mobile market, Apple has overtaken Samsung for the first time among mobile network operators. According to Counterpoint Research, Apple secured a 37 percent market share in the second quarter of 2026, while Samsung's share fell to 34 percent. This shift is attributed to the high-end nature of contract-based sales through providers, which favors premium brands like Apple over the broader retail market.
