Xiaomi and JD.com launch major back-to-school digital product promotions
Major Chinese retailers are launching large-scale promotions targeting students for the upcoming back-to-school season.
Xiaomi has partnered with Intel to launch a specialized “Back-to-School Zone” across 3,000 Mi Home stores nationwide. The campaign, running until August 28, offers student-specific benefits including exclusive coupons for smartphones, laptops, and tablets. The promotion features Intel-powered devices, such as the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 and REDMI Book Pro 2026, with additional incentives like branded tote bags and customized luggage for qualifying purchases.
Simultaneously, JD.com is hosting a 3C Digital Super Category Day on August 20. The event features educational discounts, group-buying deals that can save users up to 1,000 yuan, and integration with national subsidy policies. JD.com is also offering a “price protection” service for trade-ins, guaranteeing compensation if the trade-in value is lower than specified competitors for certain Android phones and laptops. The sale covers a wide range of hardware, including Apple products, Huawei MateBooks, Lenovo laptops, and various gaming consoles and tablets.
