Honor and Xiaomi unveil new gaming-focused mobile hardware
Honor has expanded its gaming ecosystem with the launch of the HONOR WIN series, including the HONOR WIN 2 smartphone, the HONOR WIN RT2, and the HONOR WIN Tablet. The devices feature high-performance specifications such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Gen 6 processors, high-refresh-rate OLED displays (up to 240Hz on the tablet and 185Hz on the phones), and advanced active cooling systems using dual-turbine or dual-fan architectures. The lineup also emphasizes extreme battery capacities, with the HONOR WIN RT2 featuring a 12,070mAh battery and the tablet carrying 10,000mAh.
Xiaomi has announced the upcoming Redmi K100, scheduled for launch on October 27. The device is expected to feature a 10,000mAh battery, a 165Hz LTPS OLED display, and a dedicated D2 gaming chip to optimize power consumption. The K100 will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and is expected to include Bose-tuned audio.
These releases highlight a growing trend among Chinese manufacturers toward massive battery capacities and specialized hardware for mobile gaming, often significantly exceeding the battery sizes found in mainstream global flagship models.
