Xiaomi high-capacity battery product launches
Overview
Xiaomi has expanded its hardware lineup with a focus on high-capacity battery technology and durability. On August 26, 2026, the company launched a 67W 20,000 mAh power bank in India. Designed for portability, the device features a rectangular plastic design with an integrated Type-C cable that doubles as a carrying strap. It includes a small display to monitor charge levels and can charge both laptops and smartphones simultaneously. Following this, the Redmi Note 17 series was launched globally, utilizing silicon-carbon battery technology. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 17, Note 17 5G, Note 17 Pro, and the first-ever Pro Max variant. The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max features a massive battery capacity, reported as 10,000 mAh in some regions and 9,210 mAh in others, such as Europe, and is designed to provide up to three days of battery life. The Pro model includes an 8,340 mAh battery with 67W charging, while the standard Note 17 and 17 5G models are equipped with 7,700 mAh batteries. The Pro Max model is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, and a camera system featuring a 50MP OIS primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. The series emphasizes ruggedness, boasting IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, as well as drop resistance up to three meters. Additionally, the series has received TÜV SÜD certification for battery performance, and Xiaomi has promised up to six years of security updates and patch guarantees for the lineup. In India, Redmi has teased the Note 17 Pro Max with its 10,000 mAh battery. In Europe, the series is scheduled for an official presentation on September 16, with sales expected to begin on September 17.
