Xiaomi expands mobile lineup with Redmi Note 17 and K100 Pro series

Xiaomi is expanding its mobile lineup with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 series and the Redmi K100 Pro series. The Redmi Note 17 series is set for a global debut, starting with an event in Malaysia on August 18. A notable addition to this series is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, which features a massive 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest ever in the Redmi Note franchise.

Other models in the Note 17 family include the standard Redmi Note 17, featuring a 7-inch OLED display and an 8,000 mAh battery, and the Redmi Note 17 Pro, which includes a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen and a 9,000 mAh battery. The series is expected to reach European markets around August 27, with estimated prices ranging from €250 to €600.

In China, the Redmi K100 Pro series has seen mixed initial sales results. While the K100 Pro Max has shown strong performance, reaching approximately 85 percent of its predecessor's sales, the standard K100 Pro has reached only 50 percent of the previous generation's volume. The K100 Pro series utilizes Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets and features audio tuning in collaboration with Bose.
