Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 17 series with high-capacity batteries
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 17 series globally, introducing four models: the Redmi Note 17, Note 17 5G, Note 17 Pro, and the first-ever Pro Max variant in the lineup. The series places a heavy emphasis on battery longevity and durability, utilizing silicon-carbon battery technology.
The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max features a massive battery capacity, reported as 10,000 mAh in some regions and 9,210 mAh in others, such as Europe. It supports 100W fast charging and is designed to provide up to three days of battery life. The Pro model includes an 8,340 mAh battery with 67W charging. The standard Note 17 and 17 5G models are equipped with 7,700 mAh batteries.
In terms of durability, the series has received TÜV SÜD certification for battery performance and features high ingress protection ratings, including IP68 and IP69K. The devices are also designed to withstand drops from up to three meters. Software support is a key highlight, with Xiaomi promising up to six years of security updates and patch guarantees for the series.
