Xiaomi launches Redmi Projector 5 and 5 Pro in China

Xiaomi has launched two new mini projectors under its Redmi brand in China: the Redmi Projector 5 and the Redmi Projector 5 Pro. Both models feature native 1080p resolution and can project images up to 120 inches.

The Redmi Projector 5 Pro is the higher-end option, offering 1000 CVIA lumens of brightness, HDR10 support, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It includes a gimbal stand allowing for 150-degree vertical and 30-degree lateral adjustments, autofocus, automatic keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance. It is powered by a MediaTek MT9660 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The standard Redmi Projector 5 is a more budget-friendly version with lower specifications, including 400 CVIA lumens, 60 Hz refresh rate, no HDR support, and a single 6W speaker. Both models support Dolby Audio, but an international release for these devices is currently not expected due to the Chinese-language focused operating system.
