Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 unveiled with Xring O3 processor and 200MP camera

Xiaomi's upcoming foldable smartphone, the Mix Fold 5, has entered the certification stage in China and is expected to be announced in August 2026. Leaked images show a prototype labelled with the code name “lhasa,” confirming rumors that the device will run HyperOS 4 on Android 17.

The Mix Fold 5 is reported to feature Xiaomi’s in‑house Xring O3 SoC, a 7.5‑7.6‑inch flexible display, a 200‑megapixel primary camera, 6,000 mAh battery with wireless charging, full water resistance and a side‑fingerprint sensor. These specifications aim to improve the foldable experience by reducing screen crease visibility and expanding the device’s form factor compared to earlier Mix Fold models.

Analysts anticipate the phone will launch alongside Xiaomi’s next flagship series, Xiaomi 18, and could signal the company's broader push to integrate its own silicon across premium products.
