Xiaomi unveils Pengcheng N70/N90 EVs as total car deliveries exceed 700,000

Xiaomi held a product launch on July 30, 2024, presenting two new electric‑vehicle models, the Pengcheng N70 and Pengcheng N90, announced by chairman Lei Jun.

The company’s automotive division now reports cumulative deliveries of more than 700,000 vehicles since its first model debuted in 2023, with the existing SU7 and YU7 series already popular.

The Pengcheng series uses a range‑extended powertrain with a 76‑kWh battery delivering over 500 km of range, targeting family users; analysts expect starting prices above 200,000 RMB.

The N90 Max version boasts a water‑crossing capability of up to 750 mm, equipped with two water‑radar sensors, 24 sealed components and an IPX8/IPX9K‑rated battery, and can perform emergency flotation in severe conditions.
