Xiaomi unveils Redmi Projector 5 and 5 Pro mini projectors

Xiaomi has introduced two new mini projectors under its Redmi brand: the Redmi Projector 5 and the Redmi Projector 5 Pro. Both models feature a unique gimbal stand designed to facilitate wall or ceiling projections without the need for additional tripods. The base model's stand allows for 360-degree rotation, while the Pro model can tilt up to 150 degrees.

The Redmi Projector 5 Pro is the higher-end option, offering 1080p resolution, 1,000 CVIA lumens of brightness, HDR10 support, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek MT9660 chip with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It also includes two 10-watt speakers with Dolby Audio support and features such as autofocus, automatic keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance.

The standard Redmi Projector 5 is a more affordable version with 400 CVIA lumens, a 60 Hz refresh rate, no HDR10 support, and 7-watt speakers. Both devices are currently slated for release in the Chinese market, with estimated prices of approximately 130 and 240 euros respectively.
