Xiaomi to launch Sky Nomad N90 Max and N70 Max SUVs on July 30

Xiaomi will hold a Sky Nomad technology launch event on 30 July at 19:00 Beijing time in Beijing. The event will unveil two range‑extended SUVs – the flagship seven‑seat N90 Max and the five‑seat all‑wheel‑drive N70 Max. Both models are built on the Xiaomi Kunlun architecture, which includes a dedicated platform, a super range‑extension system and full‑domain safety features.

Each vehicle is powered by a 76 kWh lithium‑ion battery and a 1.5‑ litre gasoline engine supplied by Harbin Dongan Automotive Engine that delivers 150 hp (112 kW) as a generator when the battery is depleted. The N90 Max combines two electric motors (210 kW and 100 kW) for a total of 310 kW, while the N70 Max uses a dual‑motor setup with a combined output of 52 kW‑76 kW depending on configuration. The SUVs claim a fuel consumption of 5.7 L per 100 km in generator mode and electric WLTC ranges of 363‑370 km for the N90 Max and 265‑380 km for the N70 Max.

CEO Lei Jun said the N90 Max prototype has logged more than 60,000 km of road testing across Chinese cities since January 2026, covering locations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Kunming. The launch will also showcase interior flexibility that can transform the cabin into a studio, café, lounge or playground.
