Xiaomi unveils SkyNomad SUV series with reconfigurable interior

Xiaomi announced the SkyNomad series, a new line of large electric SUVs built on its Kunlun architecture. The first two models are the N70 and N90. The N70 measures 4.96 m long, 1.998 m wide and sits on a 2.95 m wheelbase, offering a five‑seat layout. The N90 is a midsize‑large SUV at 5.285 m length, 1.998 m width and a 3.08 m wheelbase, available in five‑ and seven‑seat configurations with front seats that can rotate 180°. Both vehicles use an extended‑range electric vehicle (EREV) system: a 1.5 L turbocharged gasoline engine acts solely as a generator, while two electric motors drive the wheels. The N70 is equipped with a 52 kWh LFP battery delivering about 270 km of pure electric range; the N90 uses a 76 kWh ternary battery with an electric range of roughly 370–380 km. Combined, the range can exceed 1,500 km. Power output reaches 422 hp for the N90 and 152 hp for the N70. Interior space is designed to be flexible, allowing seats to slide, fold or turn, turning the cabin into a mobile office, meeting room or sleeping area. Xiaomi aims to price the models around €24,000 and will launch them in China this year, with exports to Europe planned for 2027. The company has already tested more than 560 prototype units over 4.28 million km in varied Chinese climates.
