Xlink proposes £13-billion AI data center development
British renewable energy organization Xlink has proposed a £13-billion plan to develop a massive industrial facility spanning 850 acres. The site is intended to house high-performance processors, including GPUs and TPUs, to meet global artificial intelligence workload demands.
The scale of the project, comparable to the size of Central Park, has raised concerns among local residents regarding the necessity of the facility, the selection of the location, and the impact of converting undisturbed natural land into a large-scale industrial development.
