XP Asset CEO: ETFs best allocation tool, but experience still lacking in Brazil
Leandro Bousquet, chief executive of XP Asset, said ETFs may be the most suitable allocation product for individual investors in Brazil, but the current investor experience falls short. He noted that the ETF market is still in its early growth phase and that the firm is expanding its fixed‑income ETF lineup, currently offering 22 ETFs with plans to add two or three more in the coming months. More than 60% of the recent growth in ETF assets under management has come from fixed‑income products.
Bruno Barino, CEO of BlackRock Brazil, added that the exponential growth of ETFs is supported by their adoption in wealth‑management portfolios and fee‑based remuneration models. He described ETFs as a transformative vehicle that connects capital supply with demand, becoming the preferred choice for investors seeking efficient allocation.
