Xpeng targets 500,000 annual European EV sales by 2030

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng aims to reach 1 million annual vehicle deliveries by 2030, with half of those sales expected to come from the European market. This target of 500,000 annual units in Europe would surpass the recent European sales figures of established automakers such as Ford and Opel.

To achieve these goals and comply with European Union regulations regarding local content in electric vehicles, Xpeng is focusing on increasing its manufacturing presence within the region. The company is currently in discussions with Magna International to expand production in Austria, where models such as the G6, G9, and P7+ are produced. Xpeng is also exploring other potential locations for manufacturing to secure the necessary capacity for its growth strategy.
