Xpeng to debut Mona L05 SUV and targets major European expansion

Xpeng is expanding its vehicle lineup and global footprint, highlighted by the upcoming debut of the Mona L05 SUV. Scheduled for pre-sales in China on October 15, 2026, the L05 is a mid-size five-seater designed for young buyers. It will be available in both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions, with the BEV variant offering a CLTC range of up to 660km.

The company is also seeing success with its existing models in international markets. The Mona L03 has reportedly surpassed 12,000 orders in Europe within three months of its launch.

Looking toward long-term growth, Xpeng has set an ambitious target to reach 1 million annual global sales by 2030, with 500,000 of those coming from Europe. To support this, the company is exploring localized production in Europe, including discussions with Magna International regarding its facility in Graz, Austria, to move beyond a reliance on exports from China.
