XREAL Aura smart glasses surpass 10,000 global pre-orders
XREAL has announced that pre-orders for its new spatial computing device, the XREAL Aura, have exceeded 10,000 units globally. Developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm Technologies, the device utilizes the Android XR ecosystem and integrates Gemini AI and Snapdragon computing power.
The hardware features a split-computing architecture, separating the lightweight 91-gram glasses from a dedicated computing puck. The glasses are equipped with Sony micro OLED displays providing 1920x1200 resolution per eye, a 70-degree field of view, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additional technical features include an electrochromic dimmer for adjustable transparency, hand tracking for controller-free interaction, and real-world passthrough capabilities.
Targeted at both consumers and enterprise sectors—including medical, training, and industrial safety fields—the device aims to provide immersive experiences for productivity, gaming, and creative design. While early reservation programs have reached capacity, XREAL continues to offer a reservation pass that allows users to secure priority purchasing rights upon release.
