Y-40 holds record for world's deepest thermal pool in Italy

Y-40 The Deep Joy, located in Montegrotto Terme within Italy’s Veneto region, holds the Guinness World Record for the deepest thermal pool in the world. While other facilities like Deep Dive Dubai reach greater absolute depths, Y-40 is unique for its use of natural salt-bromo-iodic thermal water.

The structure features a vertical cylinder reaching a depth of 42.15 meters. The water temperature is maintained consistently between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, allowing divers to explore the depths in light gear or swimwear. The facility serves as a specialized center for divers and freedivers, offering intermediate platforms and an artificial cave system extending approximately 60 meters to simulate cave diving environments.
