Yahuarcocha hosts 12 Horas Ecuador endurance race
The 12 Horas Ecuador endurance race returns to the Autódromo Internacional José Tobar Tobar in Yahuarcocha this Saturday, September 26. This event marks the return of the competition 55 years after its original edition.
Organized by the Federación Ecuatoriana de Automovilismo y Kartismo (Fedak), the race will feature 50 crews from Ecuador and six other countries, including Spain, the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru. The competition is scheduled to run from 07:00 to 19:00.
Local participants include teams such as the Honda Civic driven by Juan Guerrero, Juan Pablo Vintimilla, and Diego Morán. The event also serves as a tribute to the history of local motorsport and coincides with the 420th anniversary of the city of Ibarra. Official supervision will be provided by delegates from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and officials from Bogotá.
