Yailin La Más Viral reports extortion attempt involving intimate video

Dominican singer Yailin La Más Viral, born Jorgina Guillermo Díaz, has filed a formal complaint with the Department of Investigation of Crimes and High Technology (DICAT) following an alleged extortion scheme. The singer claims individuals threatened to release intimate audiovisual material in exchange for money.

According to reports, Yailin initially transferred 300,000 Dominican pesos (approximately $5,000 USD) to a bank account to prevent the release of the content. However, the threats reportedly continued and expanded to include threats against her daughter. Journalist Ramón Tolentino stated that the perpetrators appeared to be monitoring the singer’s movements and locations.

Dariber Montero Severino, the owner of the bank account used for the transfer, has denied involvement in the extortion. Montero Severino claimed via social media that she was used by an ex-partner and was unaware of any criminal activity, suggesting that the funds should have been reported to authorities if the origin was suspicious.
