Extortion threats against Yailin La Más Viral

Urban artist Jorgina Guillermo Díaz, known as ‘Yailin La Más Viral’, and her family have become targets of an extortion scheme in the Dominican Republic. Initial reports indicated that a criminal association of men and women was identified by authorities, with the investigation involving the National Police and the Public Ministry under laws regarding high-technology offenses.

As the situation developed, the singer filed a formal complaint with the Department of Investigation of Crimes and High Technology (DICAT). She reported that perpetrators threatened to release intimate audiovisual material unless money was paid. Díaz reportedly transferred approximately 300,000 Dominican pesos to prevent the release, but the threats persisted and expanded to include threats against her daughter.

Journalist Ramón Tolentino noted that the suspects appeared to be monitoring the singer’s movements. Meanwhile, the owner of the bank account used for the transfer, Dariber Montero Severino, denied involvement, claiming she was used by an ex-partner and was unaware of any criminal activity.
