Yair Netanyahu evacuated from US following security threat

Yair Netanyahu Shin Bet assassination plot Iran emergency evacuation

Yair Netanyahu, the eldest son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been urgently evacuated from Florida to Israel following an intelligence assessment by the Shin Bet. The internal security agency confirmed a “significant threat” to his physical integrity, necessitating an immediate extraction alongside his security detail.

While the Shin Bet did not officially name the source of the threat in its public statement, Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed in a recent interview that Iran had attempted to assassinate one of his sons. Reports from Newsmax and other outlets suggest that Israeli intelligence uncovered an Iranian plot in December while Yair was residing near Miami. These reports allege that Iranian operatives were active in the area, conducting surveillance on his movements and residence.

The emergency evacuation reportedly occurred so rapidly that Yair left the United States without his personal belongings. The incident has drawn attention to the security measures provided to the Prime Minister’s family, which have been a subject of domestic debate in Israel.
