Gül Tut death investigation: Prosecutors seek life sentence for daughter
An indictment has been completed regarding the death of singer Gül Tut, known professionally as Güllü, who fell from a sixth-floor window in Yalova's Çınarcık district on September 26, 2025. The Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is requesting aggravated life imprisonment for her daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, on charges of premeditated murder of an ascendant.
Investigators allege the death was planned. The indictment states that the song 'Malkata' was played specifically to lure the singer into the room where the incident occurred. An expert report from Istanbul Technical University also identified a female voice saying 'Hadi görüşürüz' (See you) in a mocking tone just before the fall. Security footage shows police arriving approximately 17 minutes after the fall, capturing Gülter in a state of panic.
Medical reports indicate Gül Tut died from internal bleeding caused by skull and spinal fractures after falling 18.17 meters. While toxicology tests found 3.53 promille of alcohol in her blood, no evidence of poisoning via medication was found. Additionally, Sultan Nur Ulu is facing a request for up to 4 years in prison for perjury.
