Yamaha India posts 58% year‑on‑year sales rise in May 2026

Yamaha reported domestic sales of 72,821 two‑wheelers in India for May 2026, marking a 58% increase over May 2025’s 46,086 units. The growth was led by the RayZR scooter, which sold 21,403 units—a 64.35% year‑on‑year rise and 29.39% of total sales. The FZ series recorded 14,862 units (+14.51%), while the R15 sportbike posted 9,803 units (+63.47%). MT‑15 sold 9,579 units (+36.18%) and the Fascino scooter reached 8,412 units (+60.20%). The newly launched XSR range contributed 6,587 units. Overall sales rose 7.11% month‑on‑month from April’s 67,988 units. Imported models R3 and MT‑03 logged no sales in May, down from 42 units a year earlier.

These figures underline strong demand for Yamaha’s premium motorcycles and sporty scooters in the Indian market, reinforcing its leading position in the two‑wheeler segment.
