Yamaha unveils 2027 XSR900 models with retro racing designs
Yamaha has announced the 2027 models for its XSR900 series in Europe, focusing on retro-inspired designs that pay homage to the company’s racing heritage.
The new XSR900 GP model features styling reminiscent of 1980s and 1990s Grand Prix racing, specifically drawing inspiration from the YZR500. It includes a color scheme known as ‘Legend Blue’ that evokes the classic Gauloises livery. The bike is equipped with an 890cc CP3 three-cylinder engine, a Deltabox-style frame, and advanced electronics including a 6-axis IMU, traction control, and ABS derived from the YZF-R1.
Additionally, the standard XSR900 2027 lineup will include a ‘Neon White’ colorway inspired by the pink accents of the legendary 1990s YZF750R. Both models utilize the high-torque CP3 engine and feature modern technology such as a 5-inch TFT display, Quick Shifter technology, and smartphone connectivity via the MyRide app.
