Yamaha XSR900 and TRACER 9 2027 model announcements
Overview
Yamaha has announced updates for its 2027 motorcycle lineup in Europe, focusing on retro-inspired aesthetics and new color schemes for the Sport Heritage and sport-touring ranges.
The XSR900 GP model features the ‘Legend Blue’ livery, which pays tribute to French Grand Prix rider Christian Sarron and his 1980s championship-winning Sonauto Yamaha TZ250. This design includes a blue base with light blue ‘speed block’ patterns, yellow stripes, and racing-style yellow number plates, evoking the classic Gauloises livery.
The standard XSR900 lineup will include the ‘Neon White’ colorway, inspired by the pink and blue accents of the mid-1990s YZF 750R. The XSR900 GP will also be available in ‘Neon White’, while the standard XSR900 will offer a ‘Legend Yellow’ scheme. The XSR900 GP may also be available in ‘Midnight Black’.
Both XSR900 models utilize the 890cc CP3 three-cylinder engine, a Deltabox-style frame, and advanced electronics including a 5-inch TFT display, 6-axis IMU, traction control, ABS, and Quick Shifter technology. Connectivity via the MyRide app is also featured.
Additionally, the 2027 TRACER 9 sport-touring series will receive new color options: ‘Galaxy Blue’ and ‘Performance Silver’ for the TRACER 9 GT+, ‘Ceramic Grey’ for the TRACER 9 GT, and ‘Power Blue’ for the standard TRACER 9. In Germany, the price for the TRACER 9 GT+ remains at 19,319 euros. While the XSR900 GP has generated social media interest, its specific release date in Japan remains unannounced.
