Yash film ‘Toxic’ receives ticket price hike approval in Telangana

The film ‘Toxic’, starring Kannada actor Yash, has seen its release facilitated in Telangana with special permission from the state government to increase ticket prices. The price hike is effective for 10 days, from August 26 to September 4, applying to five regular shows per day. Single screens may charge an additional ₹50 per ticket, while multiplexes and special theaters are permitted an increase of ₹100. This approved pricing includes GST.

The Telangana government has imposed specific conditions on the production companies, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations (LLP). The producers must contribute ₹1 crore to the ‘Telugu Film Industry Employees Welfare Committee’ to support the welfare of film industry workers. Additionally, theaters are required to screen short films or advertisements raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and cybercrime.

Ahead of the release, actor Yash appealed to fans to respect the cinematic experience. He requested that viewers refrain from recording scenes and posting them on social media to avoid spoiling the plot and twists for others. The film, which features sets built in locations such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Goa to recreate the 1940-70 era, is being released in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
