Yassir Zabiri attracts interest following strong performance at Racing Santander

Yassir Zabiri Stade Rennais Racing Santander La Liga football transfers

Moroccan forward Yassir Zabiri is experiencing a significant rise in market value and professional interest following a successful loan spell at Racing Santander. Currently on loan from Stade Rennais, the 21-year-old has scored eight goals in eleven La Liga matches, exceeding his initial seasonal targets.

His rapid progression has seen his market value increase from 9 million to 20 million euros between June and October 2026. Former coach Mimoun Mokhtari has suggested that Zabiri possesses the potential to eventually join elite European clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Manchester City.

While English clubs including Leeds United and Ipswich Town have reportedly shown interest, Stade Rennais sporting director Loic Désiré has indicated that the club views Zabiri as a long-term investment rather than an immediate asset for sale.
