Families in Yautepec, Morelos demanded an end to violence and justice after an armed assault occurred while residents watched a World Cup match. They said many of those present were children who witnessed the shooting, leaving a lasting trauma and urging local, state and federal authorities to strengthen security for public gatherings.

A separate incident in the same municipality saw a fierce neighborhood clash involving machetes and firearms, leaving three men wounded. Police responded late at night, but the assailants fled and no arrests were made. Residents again called for increased patrols and faster law‑enforcement action in the area.
