Yellow Card secures $40 million to expand stablecoin payments in Latin America and Asia‑Pacific

Yellow Card, a stablecoin infrastructure provider, announced a $40 million strategic funding round led by SC Ventures (the investment arm of Standard Chartered), Sony Innovation Fund, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and other strategic investors. The raise brings the company's total equity financing to more than $120 million.

The capital will be used to scale the Global USD Accounts platform, which gives businesses a single account to hold U.S. dollars, manage stablecoins, oversee treasury operations and make or receive payments in local currencies across more than 50 countries. It also funds Yellow Card’s expansion into Latin America and the Asia‑Pacific region, deepening local payment rails and currency coverage.

Yellow Card has processed over $10 billion in transactions, supports more than 50 currencies and holds licences in 22 jurisdictions across North America, Europe and Africa. Strategic partnerships with Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Coinbase position the firm as an infrastructure layer for global payments. CEO Chris Maurice said the investment validates the company’s work building stablecoin‑powered payment rails for banks and enterprises.
