Yelp introduces AI agent for automated lead handling

Yelp has announced the upcoming launch of Smart Lead Reply, an AI agent designed to answer and qualify inquiries for home service businesses. Set to roll out next month, the tool will cost $30 per month and functions within Yelp's message threads to vet ‘Request a Quote’ inquiries.

The announcement is part of Yelp’s Fall Product Release, which includes over 30 new features and updates. Other consumer-facing AI enhancements include an integration with OpenTable for the Yelp Assistant chatbot and ‘Check for Me,’ an AI phone agent capable of calling restaurants to inquire about wait times. For businesses, the release also includes new booking integrations with platforms such as ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, and Workiz.
