Yemen announces national holidays for September 26 Revolution anniversary

Yemen's civil service ministries in both Sana'a and Aden have announced official holidays to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. In Sana'a, the holiday is set for Saturday, September 26. In Aden, because the holiday falls on a Saturday, the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance has designated Sunday as the official day off for central and local government employees, with work resuming on Monday.

Brigadier General Adnan Zureiq, commander of the Third Shield of the Nation Division, described the anniversaries of the September 26 and October 14 revolutions as vital national milestones. He emphasized that these revolutions transformed the Yemeni military from entities serving individual rulers into national institutions dedicated to protecting sovereignty and the people. Zureiq highlighted the importance of national unity and social cohesion in preserving the achievements of the revolution and resisting sectarian or regionalist divisions.
