Yemen Consultative Council Meets to Address Regional Security Threats

The Consultative and Reconciliation Council in Yemen held a meeting chaired by its head, Mohamed Al‑Ghaithi, with party secretaries and political representatives in attendance. The gathering focused on recent developments in local and regional security, condemning terrorist attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, which the participants attributed to Houthi militias and Iranian‑linked groups.

The council reaffirmed its support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the national defense council, pledging to back the Arab coalition’s efforts to restore state institutions and counter the Houthi insurgency. Participants called for unified national action to safeguard Yemen’s stability, regional maritime routes, and the broader Gulf security architecture.
