Yemen faces potential escalation toward multi-axis land war

The Yemeni crisis has entered a new phase of unprecedented escalation, marking a radical departure from the cautious calm that followed the 2022 UN truce. This shift has raised concerns regarding the country's future stability.

Saudi political analyst Ali Al-Arishi has warned that the rules of engagement have changed. According to Al-Arishi, the central question in political and military circles is no longer whether war will return, but whether the current escalation will evolve into a comprehensive, multi-axis land war with simultaneous active fronts. He noted that the strategic focus has shifted to which party will maintain the initiative and the ability to deliver the first strike in such a scenario.
