Yemen Human Rights Commission briefs ambassadors on latest violations

The National Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of Human Rights Violations in Yemen met with 23 ambassadors and diplomatic representatives to present its fourteenth periodic report. Led by Judge Ahmed Saeed Al-Miflihi, the commission briefed the diplomatic community on field investigation results, documentation efforts, and the status of human rights across various Yemeni provinces.

The briefing highlighted recent violations, including missile attacks and armed assaults in the governorates of Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Lahj, and Marib. These incidents have resulted in civilian casualties, damage to civilian property, and significant waves of displacement affecting thousands of families.

Judge Al-Miflihi emphasized that the commission is continuing its monitoring and investigation of new violations under its legal mandate. He stressed the importance of maintaining communication with international partners to support national accountability mechanisms, promote justice for victims, and uphold the rule of law.
